Q: What creates knots in my muscles?
A: Repetitive actions, injuries or some kind of emotional trauma.
Q: Why EFT Medical or Stress massage?
A: I am trained to aid the body in fixing and healing it's self, we use different techniques to open up contracted muscles by tapping the energy system,pushing, stretching and rubbing the muscles allowing the stagnant blood that was trapped to escape and fresh blood is allowed to flow into muscles, We then stretch them with a technique called Myofascial Release and apply EFT
Q: What is the difference between Medical massage & Relaxation massage?
A: The main difference is a light touch with Relaxation massage which feels good while on the table. Medical massage which by communication with your therapist is kept at a slightly uncomfortable level. As we work the muscles we are releasing toxins & stagnant blood we talked of earlier. The muscles now flushed are ready for the fresh blood and oxygen and you are on your way to a healthier life.
Q: Why do my joints hurt when it's really the muscles?
A: Because the muscle attaches to 2 separate bones creating movement as the muscle contracts it shortens towards the belly of the muscle creating a tug-a-war. If one of the bones is a vertebrae it will pull it out of place. Which explains why you go to the Chiropractor turn your neck to pull out of your parking space and you go out of alignment, because the muscles were not addressed properly.
Q: Why does the Chiropractor say use cold and massage therapy says heat?
A: Chiropractic is more aggressive than massage he/she is forcing the bones back into place causing the muscle to be traumatized, it swells to protect itself. If massaged first and the muscle has some give, The adjustment will not be as aggressive. Cold is no longer needed and heat will keep muscles relaxed and flexible.
Q: Can I get off my medications with Medical massage.
A: Clients have told me they were able to reduce or eliminate aspirins and pain killers but please do so under a Dr.'s supervision.
Q: Will insurance pay for massage?
A: All auto insurance companies & workers compensation and some health plans pay with a prescription from your doctor stating diagnosis, Amount of times per week for how many weeks.
Q: Why do I have such a content good feeling after massage.
A: You were born with intense touch. Research has proven that babies and seniors fail to thrive without touch. Massage fills this need. Massage therapy enhances movement and improves the flexibility of joints and muscles, resulting in improved circulation plus it relieves mental and physical fatigue and improves immune defenses.
